A life’s journey written as it unfolds
Globetrotting Heartbroken is a journey written as I live it.
Some chapters are written years after they happened – from memory (is it trustworthy enough, you think?), photos, and emotions scribbled on random pieces of paper I still find in unfinished books or notepads.
Other chapters are written as soon as they unfold in the perfect spot the sun saved for me at sunset or sunrise.
Some are yet to happen and yet to be written.
And one chapter will be written when this journey ends.
An open book.
I am sorry, though – the pages you choose to read might not be in the right order.
Globetrotting Heartbroken is an unfinished book depicting the journey of my life, shaped by good and bad choices, aiming to leave the “what ifs” behind.
It is a living project that floats and dances between chapters about the past, dreams for the future, travel stories, running jiffies, and whatever else my daily drumbeats spark goosebumps to life.
Stick around if you want. New chapters are added as new or revived experiences become stories.
Naively written and shyly photographed by me. Choose kindness.

About the author
Lina Ori
Literally an open book.
Okay, okay – except for the pen name.
Born and raised in a small Romanian town in a sub-Carpathian basin, I left “home” at 18 to study, end eventually lived in a couple of towns, and, later, a couple of countries.
It’s been a minute since I last traveled by myself, a beautifully painful one that stopped just before I turned 40, and when I was 29, oh right, and also when I was 18.
So off I go exploring once again. But this time it’s only me, running and traveling on a broken heart, chasing butterflies and cats, and wiping dreams off my face.
I promised myself: I’m going to make this a hell of a ride!
